COUNSELLING SERVICES

My qualifications are in Integrative Counselling meaning that I use an approach where specific therapies such as Person-Centred, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy are used as well as Mindfulness and Relaxation techniques. This genre of counselling enables me to move freely between various types of therapy thus adapting and bringing together relevant elements according to the individual needs and requirements of my clients.

Key to my role as a counsellor is the therapeutic relationship between myself and my client. The building of a trusting relationship within the counselling session is essential. It involves my use of ‘Core Conditions’ namely empathy, non-judgmentalism and congruence (or being genuine). This, along with the assurance of confidentiality makes a safe environment in which both the client and myself can work together.

I work with clients both on a direct basis, and also by referral from individuals, HR consultancies, and HR departments of both corporate organisations and educational establishments.

I have a broad range of experience working with both men and women presenting with issues such as those listed below. This is not a comprehensive list and I am available to discuss your specific needs more fully as part of an initial phone conversation.
